The casting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's dream
project 'Bajirao Mastani' is in the advance stage and if the source is to be
believed then most likely Shahrukh Khan will play the dynamic and influential
character of 'Bajirao'. Ajay Devgn was also under consideration for the role
but according to an insider, it is Shahrukh who finally bagged the project.
Shahrukh Khan worked with Sanjay Leela
Bhansali in 'Devdas' and during the shooting there was some indifference on the
set but it was a story of the past and today they bonds very well and willing to work
together again. The filmmaker had a talk with him and he showed his interest.
Katrina Kaif will Mastani and
Katrina Kaif will play Bajirao's wife Kashibai. "Apparently, Bhansali has
had a word with both Deepika and Katrina. The girls have shown tremendous
interest," says the source. Sanjay wanted to make the film 14 years ago with
his 'Hum Dil De Chuke' stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan but due to Salman
and Ash's fall-out, the project was shelved.
He is very happy that his dream
project is taking shape after long years and Sanjay who is busy with Mary Kom
biopic with Priyanka Chopra will work on the project very soon.
Eros international will finance
the high budget movie. Added the source, "Eros and Bhansali have had a
fabulous working relationship during Ram Leela. Their collaboration on
Bajirao Mastani will strengthen their association."
It things go as per plan then
very soon we will get to see the combination of the trio Katrina, Deepika and
Shahrukh in 'Bajirao Mastani'.
