Bollywood actors have been
going through tough phase in life. After Sanjay Dutt's harsh three and a half
years jail term, Saif Ali Khan and four others are likely to go behind the bars
for six years in connection to blackbuck killing case registered in Jodhpur case way back in
1998.
Today Jodhpur case has framed fresh case against
Saif Ali Khan and Tabu, Neelam, Sonali Bendre including Salman Khan. During
the shooting of Sooraj Barjatiya's 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' 14 years back in Jodhpur, five actors had allegedly shot blackbucks in a
village near Jodhpur.
A case has been accordingly filed against them.
Under the Wildlife Protection Act, blackbuck
is a rare and protected species and hunting or killing of this genre is a
punishable offence under the Indian law.
The hearing of the case has
been held today and all the actors were present in the court except Bollywood
actor Salman Khan. Salman Khan is in the US for neurological disorder
treatment and he is expected to fly to the country today to appear at the court
for the hearing.
The Rajasthan High Court revised the charges of the case
against all the actors in December 2012. Salman Khan is charged under Section
51 of Wildlife Protection Act and others including a local accused Dushyant
Singh are charged under Section 51/52 of Wildlife Protection Act and Section
149 of IPC.
If the actors are found guilty
in blackbuck killing case then they will have to face a jail term of six years.
Since Salman Khan was absent today, the revised charges against the actor will
be read out later. The next hearing of the poaching case has been scheduled for
April 27.
