Dharma Productions is coming up with a kid's movie, directed by debutante Sonam Nair

Going completely hatke from the usual genre, this is the first time that Karan Johar's Dharma Productions is coming up with an out and out kids-only movie: Gippi. Directed by first time director Sonam Nair – who assisted Ayan Mukherjee on Wake up Sid – this one is going to be something new and interesting to watch out for. Based on an overweight child who hates dieting, this story will surely ring a bell with today's youngsters.

Since this film doesn't feature any big star, Arjun was roped in to shoot a special promo. Having been an obese kid himself, the Ishaqzaade star seemed to be the obvious choice for the teaser. Most of the shoot for the film was done in the scenic locales of Simla, while some portions are now being completed in Mumbai. The movie is set to release on May 10.
