Ranveer Singh Bhavnani was born in Mumbai on 6th
July 1985, to the proud parents Anju Bhavnani and Jagjit Singh Bhavnani. He
returned to Mumbai after completion of his bachelor's degree from the Indiana
University in Bloomington.
Ranveer has always been a risk taker and even
in his initial days he turned down 3 movie offers and finally accepted the lead
role in the film 'Band Baaja Baaraat'. Recalling his audition for the film, Ranveer
stated, "I was surprised because I knew Yash Raj does not launch new
heroes. But I knew they were legitimate and I knew this would be the biggest
and most important audition I would ever be giving." The rest is as they
say history. The romantic comedy from the reputed production house of Yash Raj
Films was an instant box office hit. The performance of newcomer Ranveer Singh
was hailed by the critics and masses alike. He even received the Best Male Debutant
award from Filmfare. Since then there was no looking back.
However, Singh is not a person to rest on his
laurels and went on to work in diverse roles to experiment with his acting
skills. His next movie was 'Ladies vs Ricky Bahl' in which he played the role
of a conman and woman charmer. Though the film didn't do much at the box
office, his performance was appreciated. He went on to star in Bollywood big
budget movies such as 'Lootera', 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-leela' and 'Gunday'.
He was initially linked up with his debut film
heroine, Anushka Sharma. Both were seen visiting places together and the media
had a field day speculating about their relationship. However this relationship
didn't last for long. The couple soon breakup and at present Anushka is seeing
the talented Indian batsman Virat Kohli.
Ranveer found his new love interest in the beautiful
silver screen diva Deepika Padukone while shooting with her for the Sanjay
Leela Bhansali film 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-leela'. Deepika was also
recovering from her past two broken relations. She had earlier dated the
Bollywood hunk Ranbir Kapoor which broke unceremoniously. Then her relation
with Sidhartha Mallya, the son of the liquor baron also didn't last for long.
She found solace in the loving heart of Ranveer Singh.
Ranveer at present is working on multiple interesting
projects. His upcoming movies are 'Dil Dhadakne Do' and 'Kill Dil'. He also has
a special appearance in the movie 'Finding Fanny'. We wish the actor a very
happy birthday as he turns 29.
