Was Huma Qureshi bitten by the style disaster bug?

The Gangs of Wasseypur babe has been getting it all wrong on the red carpet. From hiding her cellulite in ghastly drapes to exploring a range of outfits (unfortunately, the wrong ones), now Qureshi needs a style angel ASAP to rescue her from the faux pas trap she has fallen into

While B-town babes gear to shed kilos when touched by fame and success, it seems Huma Qureshi is happy to take a completely opposite route. The once-cute babe has started to look more like a balloon with every passing day, but we are ready to overlook even that if she stopped dressing like she's found a treasure trove of maternity clothes.

The teal gown that she is wearing at the Star Screen Awards is so not acceptable. The belt looks more like an asphyxiation tool than a style statement. Huma, you are at an awards ceremony, not a WWF fight!

Qureshi has relentlessly showered us with style shockers, one after the other. The Varun Bahl gown she opted for at the Filmfare Awards really makes us question Huma's fashion acumen. The red embroidery on those netted sleeves is the most hideous feature on the dress. In fact, if you don't bother to look carefully, it looks like a soldier's arm guard, with HQ getting all geared to fight a battle (not with the paparazzi we hope.)!

The Burberry dress she wore at the Filmfare Awards nominations party has been the most decent choice so far. It's safe, it doesn't make her look like a sack of potatoes. 'Safe, safe, safe' is the style mantra – and we think Qureshi should stick to this unless she figures out what style is meant for her and what, not.

No offence, HQ, but you are looking like a guldasta at the Star Guild Awards. The floral pattern, the multi-tiered ensemble – all you need is a vase, a huge one that you will fit into.

It's time to give wickedness a break when we see Huma in a Pankaj and Nidhi ensemble. A pleasant surprise and a refreshing change. No unnecessary drapes, no nets, no bling, no hideously free-flowing skirt – a nicely classy outfit.

Time for HQ to finally rejoice and our eyes to find solace….phew!
