Koffee never got
better. If assumed that the Kapoor cousins stole the show with confessions or
Salman declaring he is a virgin, well, we assumed wrong!
Koffee with Karan
season 4 saw the appearance of 'Gunday' stars, Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor
on the controversial couch. And if you thought Karan Johar was the crafty host,
he was certainly taken aback by the candid confessions and antics of the two.
Ranveer Singh
seemed confident to answer everything that came his way with a cheeky or
carefully contrived reply. But he was stunned as Karan Johar began by asking
about his relationship with actress Deepika Padukone. His silence led to a lot
of nudging by Karan after which he agreed that Deepika is a 'special person' in
his life although he covered that up with a safe 'Special person for me is a
good friend'. During rapid fire round, when asked to rank according to sex
appeal, Ranveer ranked in order – Deepika, Anushka, Priyanka, Katrina, Kareena;
although, in order of acting ability he ranked – Anushka, Deepika, Priyanka,
Kareena and Katrina. A hilarious moment came when Karan asked what he would do if
he was stranded on a deserted island alone with Anushka and Deepika – he
answered 'Victory dance' with the trademark 'Tattad Tattad' step.
If Ranveer was at
his candid best, Arjun was not to be left behind although he spiced it up with
jokes and some seriousness. When asked in a lighter vein to pick a gay partner
apart from Ranveer, he answered he had a man crush on Hrithik Roshan after
'Dhoom 2'. He supported it by saying 'You don't see a film with Aishwarya and
Bipasha and come out drooling over Hrithik.' When asked to choose between sex
and food, he referred to his previous fat times and said 'I have eaten enough
for 27 years so, sex.' He also referred to himself as a beached whale during
his fat days.
Arjun spoke at
length about his family scenario after his father, Boney Kapoor left his mother
for the actress, Sridevi. He said he learnt to be respectful to everybody as
taught by his mother. He acknowledged being respectful to Sridevi as she was
his father's wife but accepted things will never be alright as the dynamics are
too complicated. He had been on holidays with his father's family along with
his sister Anshula and Sridevi's children. But he said it will never be the
'Happily ever after' that people expect.
